The structure of muscles and how it supports everything else.

I’m a firm believer that muscle is highly underrated in our society. I’m on a mission to help more people (and especially women) better understand why muscle is so important and how adding more muscle to your frame can have such positive health implications.

To start though- the structural benefits of muscle tissue shouldn’t be overlooked. Sure added muscle tissue looks cool and displays a level of discipline about the person. But increasing the amount of muscle mass on your body, increases the second most sturdy of our tissues, second to our bones.

Muscles help hold other tissues and bones in place.

They help stabilize our joints and tendons and help prevent injury.

They help mitigate the effects of the sedentary lifestyle we live by helping maintain our posture and spinal alignment.

They help us move our bodies how we choose to and lift heavy things around us.

Muscle is what allows us to move about and interact with our surroundings.

So what is our first reason that muscle matters?

Because it gives us structure, and helps protect and keep that structure as we age allowing us to feel empowered by our bodies and the strength they carry

Growing more muscle is one of the best things you can do for your health!
